I meant to post about this earlier but I forgot.
You know my profile picture? That's of me in my Oregon Children's Theater (if you click on that it will lead you to their website) Acting Summer Camp production of "Alice in Wonderland". It was adapted so that a large group could put it on so there were multiple Alice's. I was Alice number one! We didn't have costumes so we had to wear our camp shirt, jeans, and if you had them converse or regular shoes. I had to wear a blue bow with the other Alice's.

Orcas Island: The best place on Earth!!!

During the last two weeks of summer I went to Orcas Island. It is a awesome island in the San Juans. (those are of the coast of Anacortez in Washington.) It seems like you drive forever, but its worth it. I went with The Cox's: Emma, Ellie, and Charlotte, Ms. Erika and Mr. Ryan. My mom and dad and my sister.

Summer Break!

Summer is finally here!
Every five years my dad gets his sabbatical, which is like a 6ish weeks off from work. We have been waiting and saving money for this one since FOREVER and it has finally passed. We took a 3 and a half week long vacation to Chicago, Orlando, the Keys, and Spring field (IL)
Here was our plan of action:
Oregon -PLANE--> Chicago ---> Crystal Lake ---> Chicago ---> Springfield ---> Orlando ---> The Keys ---> Springfield ---> Chicago -PLANE--> Oregon
We first stopped and my Uncle's house in
Us at the Cubs game. My family's in the front to rows in the picture.
Chicago...
We:

• Drove to Saugatuck, a lakeside town in Michigan.
  
• We went to Navy Pier. I rode the Ferris wheel and got sick on one of those rides with you in a swing that spin you really fast around and around.
• Spent a day in the city.
  

• Threw a surprise party for my Uncle John.

Then we drove to My grandparents (my dad's mom and dad) In crystal Lake...

• Played billions of ultimate Frisbee and soccer games with my cousins, Kaitlyn, Sam, his friend Michael and Abigail.
• Played games like a Spinners, Dutch Blitz, and Catch Fraze.
• Me and Ellie went to a ceramic painting place with my Nana, Kaitlyn and Abby (Abigail) AWESOME!
  
• Went to the Crystal Lake to swim
• Made crafts (thank you Nana and Grandpa! xoxo)

Drove back to Chicago...

• Logan (cousin), Hayden (cousin), Grandma, Grandpa, My mom's Aunt who everyone calls Tata, My Uncles, Doug, John, and David and My Aunt Traci were there aside from our family (everyone but Tata stayed the night.)
• With our cousins we filmed like 3 movies.
• Watched a cubs game at Wrigley Field
• Slept with the cousins in the basement!

Drove everyone to Springfield (in 2 cars)...

• Went to Knights Action Park (a water park) with Logan (cousin), Hayden (cousin), My Uncles, Doug, John, and David and My Aunt Traci plus our family.
• Watched 2 movies:Toy story 3 and Avatar the Last Airbender.
• Had our annual Olympics on the 4th of July.
• My cousin Hayden broke his toe. :(

Drove for two days to Orlando...
Disney world:

• Spent a day at Animal Kingdom, I got sick on The Mt Everest ride, that's when I realized have motion sickness. My favorite thing we did/saw was the Celebration of the Lion King.
• We also later on went to Down Town Disney to get some presents for people.

Universal Studios:
CONTAINS HARRY POTTER SPOILERS!
I was looking forward to this part of the trip SO much. HARRY POTTER WORLD!! Some people might classify me as a Harry Potter nerd, but that's okay. I did everything you could do except the Dueling Dragons, because it corkscrewed, and you'll find out what else later.

• The one bad thing was that they mixed Hogsmead with Diagon Alley. Everything else was pretty good. Oh and some dead people were alive in on ride.
• They had: 3 rides; Dueling Dragons, Flight of the Hippogriff, and The Forbidden Journey. A frog choir, 4 shops you could go into; Dervish and Bangs, Olivanders, Honeydukes, and Zonkos/Weasly's Wizard Wheezes. The coolest line ever that went through the castle, you saw movie props, talking portraits, the Fat Lady, Harry, Ron and Hermione were going to smuggle you to the quidditch pitch.... Much more.
• We went to breakfast at the 3 Broomsticks
• I got motion sick on the Forbidden Journey because it was that virtual reality thing and I went back to the hotel room for the rest of the day. Good thing we had 3 days there!
  
• I had pumpkin juice, butterbeer, frozen butterbeer, a chocolate frog, peppermint imps and more.

Drove to the Keys (we stayed in Key west)...

• Went snorkeling and saw beautiful fish, purple, lime green, and bright orange coral, a barracuda, and a nurse shark.
• My Dad, Ellie, and I swam with the dolphins! We swam with two dolphins, Elvis and Nica. They gave us kisses, dorsal tows, the super man (they pushed on the back of our feet to send us soaring across the water) and at the end gave us each a "present". my dad got some algae I got a strand of sea weed and Ellie got the biggest present given all week; a huge whole under water plant. Ellie's and mine were made into bookmarks.
• We were always swimming. We would swim in the ocean or the hotel pool.

Drove back to Springfield...
We had two days there in which we spent swimming in a pool we like near there.
Drove back to Chicago, and the next day we flew home to Oregon.
